Over 30yrs ago, when it came to snack sticks, all the world knew about was "slim jims".
Dave came up with what would become known as a "west coast style" snack stick. Taylor Farms has not made these sticks for over a decade.
These sticks are second to none.....lean, tasty, bite with a snap, it doesn't get any better!Back in 1979 when Dave first brought out the Taylor sticks, they skyrocketed to the top of popularity all over the country. There was a little company "back in the day" named Frito-Lay (they may still be around?) who printed a newsletter in 1983 that caught our eye.....(talking about their new improved meat stick they were coming out with)....."Consumers also thought "Smoked Beef Sticks" (the new Frito product) equaled (maybe in their dreams!) the Taylor Country Farms product, the industry standard for many consumers today.
Wow! ......how could it be, a startup company can become the industry standard nationally in a few short years? Seems there might just be something to that making quality products thing that Dave was always harping about?
